Held at the world-renowned NASDAQ MarketSite in the heart of Times Square, this event brought together participating provider leadership, participating investors, healthcare policy makers, and the selected companies. Over 150 professionals gathered together as we proudly presented the inaugural class of the New York Digital Health Accelerator. Each of the 8 companies chosen introduced themselves and how they are developing solutions in support of the New York State Health Homes program.
This event was the official launch of the accelerator and set the tone for the next 9 months as companies and providers will continue to work together through intense mentoring sessions. The energy in the room was high as Dr. Nirav Shah, New York State Commission of Health, discussed what the Accelerator program means to New York State and how the companies that are part of the program will help to revolutionize the healthcare IT space. Maria Gotsch, President & CEO of the Partnership Fund for New York City gave an overview of the program and Dave Whitlinger, Executive Director, New York eHealth Collaborative presented how the companies will be developing on the Statewide Health Information Network of New York (SHIN-NY).
We look forward to the upcoming months as the inaugural class will collaborate with the major healthcare organizations to provide the needed tools to assist providers.
